In support of Lahaina and Kula, Maui, we continue to offer herbal products and consultation services to displaced and impacted peoples, first/continual responders, supporting ohana, and community organizers.

Remaining culturally competent, trauma-informed, clinically trained, and Indigenous- and land-centered are foundations to these offerings.

For us, by us. So far, we have:

  • Provided herbal care to impacted individuals, ohana, first/continual responders, and local community organizers at no cost. From August 2023 to November 2023 over 2,300 herbal products were distributed to these populations.

  • Received community and granted funds, processed and labeled herbal products, and specific supplies to ensure availability of herbal care for impacted peoples of Maui.

  • Attended community outreach events led by other grassroots organizations providing no-cost consultations, herbal products, and herbal education.

  • Offered no-cost 1:1 herbal consulting services (acute and long-term care) to those impacted.

  • Prepared for the future by prioritizing native Hawaiians and displaced Indigenous peoples through solidifying resources to provide fully accessible herbal products, consultations, and herbal education.

  • Worked in solidarity, never charity, and prioritize joy while remaining resourced to sustain and build this work. We choose to remain “small” to fit into tight and forgotten spaces found in the margins.
